AI
Building an AI pilot around measurable business objectives.
Connect a defined workflow to evaluation criteria, data requirements and accountable human review.

Select a workflow with a clear business purpose
Choose a repeatable task with identifiable inputs, outputs and review responsibilities. Document the current process and the improvement you want to evaluate. A limited scope makes it easier to distinguish useful results from an appealing demonstration.
Review data and operational requirements
Identify the information involved and review permissions, confidentiality and the tool’s data handling terms. Consider how the pilot will fit into existing workflows and who can authorize its use. Approved sample data can support early evaluation when appropriate.
Define quality and review criteria
Establish how outputs will be checked, what constitutes an acceptable result and how errors will be handled. Name the person responsible for review. Evaluate quality alongside reviewer effort and workflow usefulness.
Make expansion an evidence-based decision
Set a review point and document the conditions for continuing, changing or stopping the pilot. Consider training and support requirements before extending access. Expansion should follow demonstrated usefulness and a clear operating model.
